Leaking high flow diesel fittings

Lots of high flow diesel maintanence. From the shear vlave up we keep having to return to repair leaks. Using 150# unions and switching to permatex thread sealant. Anyone know a better high pressure diesel sealant? Anyone know of a fitting that can replace the standard 150# union inside a diesel dispenser above a shear valve for better leak prevention and possibly easier maintanence. Price wouldn't be an issue.

Try 3000 lb hammer union. They work great. Try blue magic thread sealant manufactured by whitlam.

Is your Union galvanized or black pipe> Is it made in China or the USA? Was the dispenser profesionally installed? If the fitting is made in America use a bigger wrench.

If these are high flow dispensers, are they 2" inlets?  If so, are you using a double-poppeted shear valve?  Is so, you may have thermal issues if you have a high pressure check valve at the sub pump.  Some double-poppet shear vavles act like a check vavle and will hold pressure to 40 PSI.  Ad a 28 PSI pump check valve and you could be seeing pressures higher than the dispenser is rated for.

You might want to check out a hard set pipe sealant instead of using a soft set.  One other fix might be to use stainless steel tubing in lieu of threaded pipe.  You said cost wasn't an issue.
